NEWS FAQ

1. I am having trouble downloading the newsgroup list from my ISP...Whats wrong?

You need to increase the RAM allocation in OE. You can do this by clicking once on the OE icon in the finder and select File->Get info. Then increase the RAM allocation (try doubling it) and launch the application. The newsgroup list should work now.

2. How do you download binaries with Outlook Express? It was very simple in "Mail and News"

The "Extract Binaries" menu items was renamed "Save Attachments" it is in the "Message" menu.

3. How do I get the newsreader to mark ALL messages as read?

Control Click on a message and select "Mark All Read"

4. When posting to a newsgroup how can you change which 'mail account' the message comes from?

Currently this is not possible. However, you could create a new user and use this one for news only.
